Resilient Approaches in Natural Rangeland Ecosystems (RANGE) Program
Resilient Approaches in Natural Rangeland Ecosystems (RANGE) is a 5-year program aimed at strengthening the resilience of the ASAL communities that contribute to sustainable economic and social development in a well-managed landscape. The project focuses on the livestock sector as the most immediate driver of improved resilience, while also building support for alternative livelihoods and appropriate agro-pastoralism approaches. RANGE employs the Resilience Framework and the Market Systems Development Approach in the implementation and engages private firms, NGOs, and government agencies to identify market system key constraints and weaknesses, such as missing services, accessibility, quality of inputs, and
economies of scale.
