About the awards
The climax of the Summit will be the National Agribusiness Excellence Awards a celebration of innovation, leadership, and impact across Kenya’s agricultural value chains. The objective is to recognize, celebrate, and support excellence, innovation, service, and enterprise across Kenya’s agricultural ecosystem from farmers and agripreneurs to service providers, cooperatives, associations, and value chain actors.
Why this Matters
Kenya’s agriculture sector is the backbone of the economy and a major driver of livelihoods, food security, and industrial development. While challenges such as climate change, youth unemployment, market inefficiencies, and low productivity persist, hundreds of stakeholders—from grassroots farmers to agri-tech innovators—are making bold strides in transforming the sector. More so, Kenya’s youth are the future of agriculture. While unemployment remains high, thousands of young people are already building businesses across production, processing, logistics, agri-fintech, and climate-smart solutions.
